Install, update and uninstall.

Thalia runs on Apple Silicon Macs with macOS 27.

Install

Download the DMG from the download page.
Open it and drag Thalia to Applications.
Open Thalia from Applications, then follow its setup checklist.

To check the download first, compare its SHA-256 with the one on the download page: shasum -a 256 ~/Downloads/Thalia-0.8.5.dmg.

Or with Homebrew:

brew install --cask mabryventures/tap/thalia

Updates

Thalia checks usethalia.com for updates with Sparkle and offers each one in the app. The checks carry no projects, chats or settings.

Muse Code updates separately. Thalia holds Muse’s own automatic updates back for the processes it starts, so the version can’t change in the middle of a turn, and tells you when a newer Muse is available.

Uninstall

Quit Thalia and move it from Applications to the Trash. Your projects stay where they are; Thalia never stores them inside the app.

To remove Thalia’s own files as well, delete these:

~/Library/Application Support/Thalia
~/Library/Caches/com.mabryventures.thalia
~/Library/HTTPStorages/com.mabryventures.thalia
~/Library/Preferences/com.mabryventures.thalia.plist

Connector keys you entered in Thalia stay in your Keychain until you delete them. The Muse Code CLI and its sign-in belong to Meta’s tool and stay until you remove them.
